Award-winning comedians Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer suggest that viewers “unblock the airbricks, cast aside their horse-drawn lawnmowers and nestle up to an over sized walnut,” in preparation for their plush and blustery entertainment bonanza.
The achingly creative and unique comedy duo are renowned for their anarchic sketches, slapstick violence, wicked parodies, and sheer hilarious and often inexplicable nonsense, tackling everything from cavity insulation to vibrating sheep.
Sandwiched in the decade between Fry & Laurie and The Mighty Boosh, The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer showcased their penchant for witty, crazy, surreal and silly brand of humour, along with their traditional "I love the smell of..." musical start and end to each episode.
At long last both series of The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer are available on DVD featuring such comic gems as:
- The unique talents of Le Corbussier et Papin
- The South Bank Show on folk idols Mullivan and O'Hare
- That cup-a-soup feeling with Slade
- The antics of Uncle Peter
- Advice from Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye
- The bra-wearing men (and there's nothing wrong with that thank you!)
Not to mention Vic and Bob's amazing products, groundless prophecies, outmoded opinions, hocus pocus and much jiggery pokery.
Plus special guest appearances by pre-Little Britain Matt Lucas and Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson (of The Fast Show fame). Less «
