A French chef is enlisted to help a young girl win a culinary competition.
Near a village on the border between Quebec and the United States, stubborn customs officer Sonia confiscates the contents of the car of Victor, a French chef in need of recognition living in New York. She quickly regrets it when her daughter Lili-Beth decides to participate in a Petits Chefs competition where she seems to have very little chance of making a name for herself. Sonia decides to try everything to get the help of the charming but exasperating Victor. This more than improbable meeting will bring together an entire village to put aside their differences and get a taste of what is essential.
